The City of Filer added wastewater treatment capacity and upgrading treatment process to include nutrient removal and high level
disinfection to meet more stringent discharge and reuse requirements. This project consists of a 0.3 mgd wastewater treatment plant with screening, biological nutrient removal, microfiltration, ultraviolet disinfection, and biosolids dewatering.
Capacity: 0.3 mgd annual avg., 0.94 mgd peak flow
Technology: Membrane Bioreactor
SPI Role:
SPI provided engineering services for the procurement and detailed design of the membrane system as well as preliminary design for the secondary treatment process.
